About the Role

Tulsa City-County Library is seeking reliable and professional Entry-Level Security Officers with superior situational awareness, and commitment to learning this skill. Must be CLEET certified. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring active patrol, appropriately compassionate interaction, timely incident response, and policy enforcement.

Schedule:

• 30 hours per week able to work a flexible schedule
• Evenings and weekends required
• Working multiple locations at Tulsa City-County Libraries

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of library buildings in all-weather conditions
• Monitors (on foot and through a security camera system) buildings for unauthorized and suspicious activities
• Respond immediately to unusual or emergency situations
• Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety and security of Library staff, customers, and property
• Enforces TCCL policies, rules and regulations
• De-escalate situations and assist law enforcement or emergency responders
• Prepare incident and daily activity reports
• Closing officers will secure buildings
• Public restroom checks
• Maintains proficient use of all assigned protective equipment and life saving devices
• Serve at any TCCL location as needed

Requirements

• CLEET Unarmed Security Officer License (required and maintained)
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and basic computer skills
• Able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
• Complete and understand all required security and compliance training within 90 days of employment
