Tulsa City-County Library is seeking reliable and professional Entry-Level Security Officers with superior situational awareness, and commitment to learning this skill. Must be CLEET certified. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring active patrol, appropriately compassionate interaction, timely incident response, and policy enforcement. Schedule: 30 hours per week able to work a flexible schedule Evenings and weekends required Working multiple locations at Tulsa City-County Libraries Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of library buildings in all-weather conditions Monitors (on foot and through a security camera system) buildings for unauthorized and suspicious activities Respond immediately to unusual or emergency situations Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety and security of Library staff, customers, and property Enforces TCCL policies, rules and regulations De-escalate situations and assist law enforcement or emergency responders Prepare incident and daily activity reports Closing officers will secure buildings Public restroom checks Maintains proficient use of all assigned protective equipment and life saving devices Serve at any TCCL location as needed Requirements
CLEET Unarmed Security Officer License (required and maintained) Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation High school diploma or GED Strong communication, interpersonal, and basic computer skills Able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends Complete and understand all required security and compliance training within 90 days of employment
