Manufacturing Control Expeditor
We are looking for a Manufacturing Control Expeditor to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Your responsibilities will include assisting manufacturing activities through operations across work centers and assisting supervision in keeping assigned products on schedule. They will utilize available computer technologies and existing systems to perform the functions of this position. This position can support any shift as necessary to meet manufacturing needs by seniority and preference. We also offer an inclusive and supportive culture. Your challenge includes performing production activities to support manufacturing, daily work schedules and overall work center objectives. Generate storeroom and tooling picks of discrete jobs based on manufacturing need or input of Manufacturing Planner or Supervisor. Assure that items comply with parts control requirements. Responsible for distribution of dispositioned non-conformance reports and communicate availability of work. Perform the following to support product flow through manufacturing: locate lost parts, perform audits as required, perform picks, issues, and returns as required, maintain accurate floor inventory, and monitoring and maintaining accurate work in process status. Interface with appropriate personnel to assist in the resolution of issues that hinder product flow. Perform other related assigned duties of equal or less complex in nature. What you bring: Must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance. High school graduate with a minimum of two-year additional education at an accredited college, or its equivalent gained through training/experience in the theory/application of manufacturing processes. 2+ years manufacturing/production experience. Must be able to read and interpret drawings to identify parts from a bill of material. Must be able to distinguish machine type and have knowledge of production control systems and procedures. Detail oriented with the ability to learn on the fly. Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
