About The Job

We invite applications for a full-time, Clinical Assistant Professor of Theatre-Music Director/Accompanist. This non-tenure track position will begin Fall 2026 with a 3/4 teaching load. This position plays a central role in supporting the department’s production season and teaching mission, overseeing the musical elements of assigned productions—including musicals and plays with music—and providing musical instruction and accompaniment for both curricular and production needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee musical elements of assigned productions, including musicals and plays with music.
• Provide musical instruction and accompaniment for curricular and production needs.
• Support the department’s production season and teaching mission.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master of Music in Vocal Conducting or closely related field.
• Experience as a music director, choral conductor, and piano accompanist required.
• Familiarity with collaborative teaching and interdisciplinary instruction is preferred.
