Brunel
Our client is a sovereign defence shipbuilder supporting Australia's long-term submarine capability program. They are establishing a dedicated Nuclear Management System (NMS) and require an experienced Technical Writer to develop policies, standards, procedures and governance documentation that underpin nuclear safety, assurance and compliance.
This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of governance, engineering, and safety in a high-profile environment with enduring national importance.
Description
Develop policies, management plans, standards and procedures to support the Nuclear Management System
Convert complex technical and regulatory information into clear, structured documentation
Adapt partner-sourced artefacts into Australian and enterprise standards
Coordinate document reviews with technical SMEs, safety specialists and governance leads
Manage version control and document release workflows through corporate systems
Profile
Experience producing structured documentation in highly regulated environments (defence, aerospace, energy, or medical highly regarded)
Strong capability in policy/procedure development, document governance and controlled document libraries
Confidence engaging technical SMEs and distilling complex information into clear guidance
NV1 clearance (held or previously held) is desirable. Candidates without current clearance may still be considered, with clearance sponsorship available subject to eligibility.
Knowledge of defence documentation systems (Objective / DPN / PLM) beneficial but not mandatory
