Overview
FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Digital Content Strategist will develop content strategies aligned with business goals, monitor cultural and social trends, and ensure strategic direction is translated into effective creative work across digital platforms.

Work Schedule and Location Hybrid:
This full‑time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
Works with editors, writers, UX designers, content management system developers, and marketers to deliver stories that are aligned with business goals
Provide calendars of social media strategies being implemented and forthcoming
Perform extensive research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter, and then contextualizing your findings
Monitor cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers' attitudes, behavior and perceptions
Liaise with the client's Communications team to ensure that consumer attitudes and needs are thought of at the beginning of the campaign
Conduct keyword research and use of SEO guidelines to optimize content
Provide input as needed during creative development to ensure that the strategic direction is correctly translated into creative work
Develop content governance guidelines for tone, style and voice of all content, and ensure they are followed
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field
4+ years of experience in a related field
Be creative and able to think around problems
Familiar with digital marketing channels, content marketing and distribution platforms, and consumer analytics
Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, information architecture, and usability best practices
Hands‑on experience with content management systems
Keen interest and experience in analyzing marketing problems, brand tracking research and spotting opportunities to develop the brand
Work alongside account management team and support in developing highly creative campaigns
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English
