Job Description recteq is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented
Paid Media Specialist
to join the eCommerce team. This role will lead the executional arm of recteq’s Performance Media, scaling business results while maintaining efficiency across Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, and Amazon. Reporting directly to the Growth Marketing Manager, the Paid Media Specialist will need to be a self-starter who can optimize, test, and report on various campaigns across platforms, constantly driving performance and improving visibility. The Paid Media Specialist should have hands‑on keyboard experience across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, Amazon Ads, and GA4.
Responsibilities
Ongoing management of performance media budget, execution, and performance reporting, identifying opportunities to shift budgets across platforms, phasing, and creative based on data
Day-to-day management of optimizations within platforms, including turning off underperforming ads, switching out custom audiences, experimenting with strategies, etc.
Trafficking ads across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, and Microsoft Ads Manager, ensuring QA across naming conventions, copy, creative, landing pages, UTMs, and various trackers
Support management and coordination of external marketing agencies, to include campaign execution, performance reporting, and continuous optimization
Collaborate with internal and external media teams/partners to determine necessary ad specs and creative versioning to launch evergreen or campaign/promo-based ads; keeping track of UTM naming conventions, and passing off relevant creative to DSP (HTML5, video, etc.)
Direct communication with platform reps to troubleshoot issues, identify testing beta opportunities, and align brand strategy to platform best practices
Manage A/B creative testing strategy to identify best messaging, visuals, audience, and landing pages based on statistically significant results; report back to in-house creative team on findings to inform future creative strategy
Develop, manage, and optimize Amazon advertising campaigns to drive traffic, increase sales, and improve ROAS across the Amazon marketplace
Ad hoc analyses to assess under‑performers, identify areas to change, etc.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 1 year in eCommerce and working with DTC brand(s)
1+ year working with Meta Ads Manager
Experience with marketing attributional tools
Solid understanding of Google Analytics 4
Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive own work, manage time effectively, and exhibit high organizational skills to keep track of various tasks and projects
Ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally, and demonstrate strong teaming skills
Performance-driven mindset—tying all efforts to goal KPIs
Drive to learn and curious to experiment and A/B test a variety of hypotheses in service to increasing performance
Passion for testing, learning, optimizing, and driving results through Paid Media
Comfortable with fast-paced environment / willing to pivot strategies quickly based on business objectives
Experience with marketing agency support model
