Job Summary

Architects and executes interaction and visual design, as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, drawing on results from user research, content strategy and workflow analysis. Applies contemporary user experience methodologies to the design and development of engaging user interfaces for websites and applications. UX design provides highly analytical and journey-driven paths to fuel creative UI/visual design for a complete end‑user experience. Develops prototypes, mockups, wireframes, task flows and other visuals. Conducts user research and usability testing to measure quality of user's experience when interacting with digital websites or applications.

Responsibilities

  • User Research and Usability planning and execution across multiple functional domains.
  • Coordinate with usability vendors and stakeholders to determine requirements, set expectations and present findings.
  • Determine and implement user research methodologies, observe sessions and consolidate data across functional areas.
  • Ensure rigorous, consistent and thoughtful research plans and methodologies.
  • Information architecture review and implementation for multiple sites and applications.
  • Provide creative direction for interaction design, present and defend design work in reviews.
  • Maintain consistent interaction design patterns and research design trends.
  • Provide creative direction for visual/UI design, uphold standards and trend research.
  • Create and propose prototyping standards and toolsets, determine prototyping needs, and socialize prototypes via reviews or usability sessions.
  • Apply critical thinking to complex user problems and evangelize UX principles and strategy across marketing and cross‑functional teams.
  • Create and implement strategies that improve user experience from onboarding to completion, and scope UX resources.
  • Lead and manage team, oversee performance, succession planning, talent development, budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Define and evangelize processes, policies and standards, measure performance and pursue continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay Range

  • Canada – Toronto: 136,000 – 204,000 CAD per year.
  • United States – Dallas: 155,000 – 233,000 USD per year.
