Hotel Overview Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans, the new property will feature 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa. It is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, near the French Quarter.
Job Description What do we expect from you? Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for communicating the story of Fairmont New Orleans across digital platforms, including digital invitations, inspiration, and storytelling. This role supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in executing strategies in digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management, and measures success through outcomes supported by analytics and reporting.
Be part of a pre‑opening team.
Create curated content that amplifies key messages and tells a story consistent with the hotel and Fairmont brand identity.
Manage and monitor the hotel’s presence on Social Media networks (primarily Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) with support from the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Engage guests and community on relevant social media channels.
Utilize available programs to integrate proper user‑generated content.
Manage online and social reputation, implement social media initiatives and web content with PR agency/contractor and DOSM.
Contribute to corporate social media initiatives and implement local social media partnerships.
Update and maintain the property website, app and external booking engines within corporate standards.
Create and coordinate monthly (and on‑call) email blasts to local lists.
Assist with video and photo shoots and create new, on‑brand photography as needed.
Develop briefs for digital campaigns, oversee paid media content strategy, manage creative trafficking, analyze results, and report on key learnings.
Partner with Director of Revenue Management to monitor Fairmont.com performance and identify growth opportunities.
Work with corporate PR to develop and execute brand initiatives.
Write and disseminate press kits, releases, editors’ advisories, and calendar listings.
Conduct media and influencer property tours and develop itineraries.
Direct day‑to‑day website management and recommend improvements for responsive design.
Work with appropriate teams to develop new guest offers and improve website conversions.
Manage vendor relationships with applicable technology and marketing partners.
Execute corporate e‑commerce campaigns within established budgets.
Optimize SEO/SEM for the property vanity sites.
Serve as a key contact for media, industry partners and community, champion philanthropic partnerships and promote environmental and social initiatives.
Attend hotel promotional events as needed, including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in digital marketing.
Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and customer acquisition.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills; able to read, write, and speak English.
Working knowledge of digital marketing platforms.
Excellent computer skills.
Physical Demands
Transport miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds.
Endure various physical movements and reach 1–2 feet.
Remain stationary for 30 minutes; stand or walk for up to 2 hours during shift.
Communicate effectively with guests, management, and co‑workers.
