Mechanical Designer
We are seeking a talented mechanical designer to join our structural/mechanical engineering team. In this role, you will assist in CAD modeling and drafting for bulk material handling systems, ensuring adherence to established drafting protocols.
Responsibilities
Produce complex drawings that meet client specifications in both 2D and 3D formats.
Prepare and interpret scale drawings, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
Gather information and produce accurate drawings for specific projects.
Revise and update drawings for customer approval and prepare them for release to fabrication.
Interpret and analyze technical reports and specifications.
Apply Good Engineering Practices to ensure industry standards are met.
Provide feedback on drawings to enhance drafting development, problem‑solving, and design innovation.
Support design efforts with detailed dimensional calculations to verify configurations and layouts.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and engineers on project operations.
Essential Skills
2+ years of design experience.
Associate degree in CAD, Design, or Drafting.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SolidWorks.
Skills in Advance Steel are highly desirable.
Experience in bulk material handling or conveyor system design is a plus.
Experience with prior fabrication drawing review is an advantage.
Work Environment & Location This is a contract position based in Denver, CO. The role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour.
