What You Will Do

The AV Tier 2 Field Technician (IT Support) will support Tier 2 video‑conferencing equipment and provide ongoing technical assistance to a wide array of clients. The role requires resolving issues related to in‑room technology, AV/VC equipment failure, physical malfunctions, and software configurations while conducting root‑cause analyses to improve processes.

  • Travel up to 60‑70% to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • On‑site technician capable of fixing 99% of issues in rooms.
  • Configure endpoints and infrastructure.
  • Prepare room audits ensuring optimal technology performance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment ready for use.
  • Identify defective or failed equipment and provide solutions.
  • Conduct on‑site user acceptance testing and install software upgrades.
  • Provide strong client‑level support with a predisposition to de‑escalate technical failures.
  • Handle break‑fix tasks within target service‑level agreement response windows.
  • Build partnerships with local help desk, facilities, events, executive support, and executive assistants.
  • Offer white‑glove technical support for C‑suite and high‑profile staff.
  • Focus on VC support for high‑profile events and network‑related call escalations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standard hardware and proprietary tools.
  • Travel up to 65% to customer sites as required.

Must Have Experience

Audio‑visual troubleshooting, maintenance, and signal flow expertise.

Essential Criteria

  • Self‑motivated and accountable in a fast‑paced, independent environment.
  • Creative andical thinking in technical problem evaluation.
  • Technical skills in Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, ClearOne, QSC, and other AV/VC hardware and signal flow.
  • Ability to read and understand technical plans and perform required configurations.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and variable work hours to meet customer needs.
  • Physical capability to lift large/heavy objects and perform maintenance tasks.

$62,000 — $82,000 USD
