Creative Content Writer

Location: Remote but local to Culver City, CA, Cupertino, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA

The Planet Group is looking for a Creative Content Writer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 6-month contract, working remotely but must be local to Culver City, CA, Cupertino, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA. This person is a highly skilled writer, creator, and collaborator and will be supporting the Creative Content development team across brand projects for TV.

Qualifications

  • Extensive storytelling experience as a writer, including for brand experiences
  • Highly skilled copywriter and scriptwriter
  • Extremely agile with language and delights in the nuance of each word
  • Experience distilling complex ideas into clear, compelling messages
  • Conceptual thinker who is specific, holistic, and strategic and can contribute to the big picture in every detail
  • Advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across different platforms and audiences
  • Skilled in developing work for a variety of platforms and use cases and is mindful about how those impact a range of devices, experiences, and scenarios
  • Consumer-focused and effective in inviting audiences into new experience
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for design
  • Relevant or translatable experience collaborating closely with designers
  • Collaborates well in a cross-functional design team environment
  • Thrives in an iterative process, tracking and synthesizing a myriad of elements and learnings from collaborative partners
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Adaptive problem-solver in a quickly evolving environment
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
  • Consistently delivers highly thoughtful and impactful work
  • Knows how to craft a clear and compelling deck narrative for different audiences
  • Seamlessly flexes across different media and content, from sports to entertainment

Responsibilities

  • Forgethe voice of new brands and evolveexisting ones
  • Connectthe dots between design, product, and culture andweave all of those elements into an impactful, memorable story
  • Craftbrand stories that feel larger than the sum of their parts — that not only connect into culture, but influence culture
  • Articulate and grow foundational brand elements
  • Clarify and connect the relationship to existing structure of brands
  • Lead naming explores connected to the brand on product
  • Fuel strategic goals in order to evolve the product experience
  • Define potent creative territories for brand messaging
  • Help connect the dots between strategy and design
  • Bring the brand to life through impactful copywriting
  • Collaborate closely with design, strategy, and cross-functional partners to shape and sharpen how the brand manifests cohesively on and off product
  • Identify, orchestrate, and amalgamate key details cross-functionally
  • Craft how work is shared with fellow collaborators and stakeholders

Schedule: 40 hours

Duration: 6 Months

Pay: ~$107/hr, DOE
