Position Overview
The director oversees the Office of Communications & Marketing, setting communication and marketing goals, strategies, and action plans for the Diocese of Green Bay and for each mission team and office. The role includes managing and supervising team personnel in the communications and marketing team, directing their efforts, providing counsel and recommendations to the leadership team, preparing and monitoring the office budget, and undertaking special projects assigned by leadership.
Responsibilities
Set communications and marketing goals, strategies, and action plans for the diocese and each mission team/office.
Manage and supervise the communications and marketing team.
Direct the communications and marketing efforts performed by team members.
Provide counsel and recommendations to the leadership team in preparing messages for key audiences.
Prepare and monitor the office budget(s).
Undertake special projects assigned by leadership.
Qualifications “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
Senior level experience in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations, or equivalent
Management and supervisory experience
Understanding of diocesan policies and procedures
Must be a practicing Catholic and have a strong understanding of the Catholic faith
Lifelong learner committed to professional development for self and others
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent marketing skills
Interpersonal relations
