Primary Responsibilities This full-time position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the mission of Evangelizing Catechesis with children and youth. The Coordinator will coordinate ongoing formation for catechists, oversee the diocesan religious curriculum, develop age‑appropriate faith formation resources and catechetical models for those in sacramental preparation, and coordinate efforts related to engaging parents of religious education students through catechetical resources and recommendations for effective family faith formation models.
Minimum Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
Knowledge of Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and Church documents related to catechetical ministry (US Catechism for Adults, the National Directory for Catechesis, the Directory for Catechesis, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field is preferred.
Excellent event planning skills.
Strong management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality.
Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas.
Must be able to communicate effectively with Pastors, Catechetical Leaders, Catechists.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
