Prepare, calibrate, and operate sleep diagnostic equipment to record various physiological data during overnight sleep studies. Perform and monitor diagnostic and therapeutic sleep procedures, including CPAP/BiPAP titrations. Record and analyze physiological parameters such as EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, airflow, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and body movement. Score and interpret sleep stages and events following AASM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine) standards. Document and verify accurate patient information and study results within the Epic EMR system. Educate patients on sleep testing procedures, CPAP/BiPAP usage, and sleep hygiene. Apply infection control procedures and maintain a safe and sterile testing environment. Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality outcomes.
