Technical Writer with Security Clearance
Job Description ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Documenting all knowledge-based information, processes, and procedures.
Serve as a Technical Writer in the Service Desk and in other OIG areas for the documentation of OCIO support and services.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for designing/creating/maintaining technical and knowledge-based documentation including:
Knowledge Repository
OIGNEWSLINK Articles
Process/Procedure Documents
Online Help
User guides
White papers
Requirements documents
Use cases
Documentation of items escalated to OIG Tier III and Engineering personnel
Required Skills
Must have at least three (3) years of IT technical writing experience.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Must have the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and visuals.
Proficient with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, VISIO, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experienced in version control management and managing/maintaining the technical writing repository.
Strong communication and collaboration skills and knowledge of industry standards and best practices for technical documentation.
The ability to maintain and obtain a public trust clearance.
