We are seeking a technical email marketing specialist who excels at building sophisticated automation workflows, analyzing customer behavior data, and optimizing conversion funnels through advanced segmentation and behavioral triggers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the technical mechanics of email marketing rather than just creative content development.
What You'll Own Technical Platform Management & Automation
Design and implement complex automation workflows using Klaviyo
Build behavioral trigger sequences based on user actions, booking stages, and engagement patterns
Set up advanced segmentation and personalization logic using customer data points, booking history, and behavioral signals
Configure API integrations between email platform and other tech stack components
Develop predictive analytics frameworks for churn prevention, booking likelihood, and customer lifetime value
Behavior Analysis & Customer Journey Optimization
Map customer journeys across both traveler and host user flows, identifying drop‑off points and optimization opportunities
Build comprehensive attribution models to track email performance across the entire booking funnel
Analyze behavioral patterns to create data‑driven trigger conditions and timing optimization
Implement A/B testing frameworks for automated optimization of send times, frequency, and content variations
Monitor deliverability metrics and implement technical solutions for inbox placement
Technical Requirements & Compliance
Ensure technical compliance with GDPR, CAN‑SPAM, and other email regulations
Manage data hygiene protocols including suppression lists, bounce handling, and re‑engagement workflows
You're a Great Fit If You Have Technical Expertise (Required)
4–6 years hands‑on experience with email marketing automation platforms (Klaviyo, Braze, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Advanced segmentation and targeting skills with ability to build complex conditional logic for conversion optimization
Data analysis proficiency including experience with SQL, Excel (advanced functions), and analytics platforms
Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and behavioral trigger optimization
Experience with API integrations and connecting email platforms with other marketing tools
Bonus Points For
Experience in travel, hospitality, or marketplace environments (two‑sided markets)
B2C and B2B lifecycle marketing experience managing different user types
Background in performance marketing or growth‑focused roles
Experience with revenue attribution and demonstrating email marketing ROI

You’ll receive clear direction on priorities, timelines, and strategic goals
You’ll be a key voice in campaign strategy, from ideation to execution
Close Partnership with Head of Social
Collaborate on integrated campaigns that span email and social
Align on messaging cadence, brand consistency, and content strategy
Contribute to cross‑channel efforts that drive both traveler bookings and host acquisition
Strategic Alignment with CMO
Monthly check‑ins to align on brand voice, customer journeys, and growth objectives
Review and feedback on high‑impact initiatives, including email strategy for major launches, seasonal pushes, or brand milestones
Input into broader marketing efforts that connect both sides of the marketplace
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product and CX to optimize transactional and triggered messaging
Support the Performance Marketing team with retargeting and conversion‑focused email flows
Partner with Design and Content to craft emails that are visually engaging and results‑driven
