Job Summary: Our architecture/engineering services client is currently seeking a
Senior Plumbing Designer
to lead the design and coordination of plumbing, and mechanical systems for a variety of commercial building types, including civic, education, government, transportation and more. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical design process from concept through construction documents Develop plumbing system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil engineers Review and mark up shop drawings and submittals Mentor junior designers and engineers Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for buildings Proficiency in
Revit , AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED principles Excellent communication and coordination skills PE license preferred but not required
