Senior Upstream Product Manager, Nellcor Marketing

At Medtronic, we lead global healthcare technology and tirelessly pursue breakthrough solutions. You will guide the portfolio strategy and product innovation for our flagship Nellcor business, driving market-leading technology from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Drive upstream marketing activities, including market research, customer segmentation, and identification of unmet customer needs.
Develop concepts aligned with portfolio strategy, long‑range planning, and innovation roadmap.
Build and validate business cases for new product opportunities, including market sizing, financial modeling, and competitive analysis.
Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and downstream marketing to integrate customer insights into product development.
Foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
Present portfolio strategies and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with global and regional marketing teams for successful product launches and lifecycle management.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, product management, or strategy, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
Upstream marketing experience, including product strategy and portfolio management.
Nice to Have
10+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or strategy, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Experience working in a regulated environment (patient monitoring or other med‑tech experience).
Track record of bringing new products from concept to market.
Travel Flexible for global travel, approximately 30–40 %.
