Position Summary We are seeking a passionate, experienced Instructional Designer (fully remote) who can create, deliver, and oversee educational materials for employee growth or career development. The candidate must have a foundational understanding of instructional design models that produce impactful, measurable results, such as increased employee engagement and improved retention. This role reports to the VP of Learning & Development. Base salary range: $60,000 – $70,000.

Responsibilities

Analyze client source content, target audience demographics, job tasks, and learner environment to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies.

Create design documents specifying performance or behavioral objectives, sequencing of instruction, course content, source materials, and instructional strategies based on needs analysis and target audience.

Design and develop training to support the various training delivery modalities utilized at Zwicker.

Apply advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategies.

Acquire and apply new technology skills to instructional design practice.

Utilize a broad range of interactive, creative, and intuitive instructional methods, including simulations, hands‑on activities, interactive case studies, role‑plays, and assessments.

Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to conduct needs analysis and develop learning objectives for all programs.

Develop comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.

Manage and administer Zwicker’s Learning Management System – COMPASS.

Remain a thought leader in instructional design and innovation.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Three plus years of experience designing and developing adult learning training and programs.

In‑depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories.

Strong experience project‑managing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs and initiatives.

Proficiency in course authoring and distance learning tools, including Colossyan AI (or similar AI application), Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, etc.), TechSmith Tools, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom (or a similar virtual learning platform).

Ability to navigate Learning Management Systems (experience with Docebo is a plus).

Expertise in designing assessments and evaluation strategies (formative and summative) to measure a program’s effectiveness and impact.

Experience with AI, graphic design, video, micro‑learning, responsive design, simulations.

Strong project management skills.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to operate a computer, phone, and equivalent devices.

Available to complete a minimum 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule.

Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence.

Physical Qualifications

Can lift five pounds or greater.

Can sit 90 % of the workday at times.

Can bend at the waist and remain mobile when needed.
