About the role

The Marketing and Communications Associate is a member of a multi‑focus team responsible for optimizing marketing resources to effectively communicate with current and prospective Domini Funds investors. The Associate will work closely with Domini team members across marketing, business development, and other departments to develop and produce marketing content and communications to effectively market the Domini Funds and communicate Domini’s value proposition to current and prospective investors, media outlets, and the broader public.

What you will do

Draft and edit marketing content and materials, including website pages, articles, social media posts, newsletters, impact updates, reports, brochures, postcards, mailers, and other marketing and shareholder communications, as needed.

Help manage Domini’s web and social media assets, including assisting with digital content creation and distribution and helping to grow and track the firm’s social media following and presence.

Help to manage Domini’s public relations strategy, including serving as a liaison with external PR team regarding media opportunities, press releases, press pitches, etc., while helping build and manage relationships with media contacts.

Help plan, coordinate, and attend in‑person and online events, including developing event ideas and agendas, booking venues and speakers, sending invitations, managing registration lists, assembling materials and promotional items, and assisting with event logistics, including staffing, travel, catering, videography, and other pre‑ and post‑event activities.

Identify opportunities to nominate Domini, as well as Domini employees and initiatives, for relevant awards, help draft submissions, and coordinate acceptance and promotion of award wins.

Assist in development and implementation of advertising strategy, including creation and placement of print, digital, and broadcast ads.

Coordinate with compliance and other team members to ensure all marketing materials and communications are consistent with firm and regulatory requirements and obtain necessary business and compliance approvals.

Manage filing of public communications with FINRA, including maintaining records of filings and responses.

Manage fulfillment of investment kit requests from prospective shareholders and help track new account openings.

Track and prepare internal reporting on all marketing and communications activities.

Develop and maintain a high level of firm and industry knowledge, remaining well‑versed on our clients, products, competition, and industry standards.

Proactively develop and share ideas to help improve Domini’s marketing and communications strategies.

Our ideal candidate Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related fields (marketing, communications, public relations, or other relevant degree) required

A basic understanding of retail and institutional investors and financial markets.

Skills and Abilities

Sound judgment, sensitivity to diverse constituencies and regulatory compliance constraints, excellent interpersonal skills, strong initiative and motivation.

Effective oral and written communication skills, especially with senior‑level executives.

Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Successful record of organizing multiple projects, delivering on time, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Prior experience in social media management and/or event management, a plus.

Public speaking skills and prior experience communicating with press and media, a plus.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel as needed to accomplish duties noted above.

Advanced Microsoft Office content authoring skills.

Adobe Creative Suite (or related) authoring skills, a plus.

FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses preferred (required within 6 months)

The base pay scale for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000. Salary is based on factors such as experience, skills, etc. This role may also offer additional bonus potential based on firm success.
