As a

BIM Designer , you will be engaged in design documentation and responsible for the set‑up and management of Revit BIM models. Working under the direction of telecom discipline or project leads, you will showcase your Revit expertise while adhering to Jacobs and client BIM standards. Using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD you will create and manage 3‑D models and 2‑D construction drawings, collaborating with designers, architects, and engineers to produce clash‑free, constructable deliverables.

Responsibilities Coordinate BIM model management, align with discipline BIM leads, apply company design methods, and deliver finished models that meet telecom design intent.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent

At least 3 years of BIM design experience

At least 3 years of telecommunications systems design and construction industry experience

Growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions

Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function

Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment

Experience following client design and modeling standards

Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark‑ups and/or verbal directions

Willingness to learn new things

Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience

Understanding of data center environments

Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio‑visual systems

Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems, fire alarms, access control, CCTV

Knowledge of control systems, network components and topology
