About the Role Media Mogul is seeking a

Media Operations Manager

to join our growing team. This role is hybrid, with Chicago as the preferred location.

As a Media Operations Manager, you will work directly on the strategy, day-to-day execution, and ongoing management of client media campaigns across a variety of industries. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for building, trafficking, monitoring, and optimizing campaigns to ensure performance goals are met.

You’ll also provide clients with ongoing support and insights, helping them understand results and best practices across media channels. In addition, you’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including Data Analytics & Product, Business Development, Media Operations, and Finance to ensure smooth campaign delivery and high‑quality client service.

Key Responsibilities

Build, traffic, and manage campaigns across social and programmatic (Google platforms is a plus)

Identify and recommend relevant media opportunities for current clients within budget, as well as potential upsell opportunities

Manage day‑to‑day communication with clients and vendors, including real‑time reporting, campaign recommendations, execution, and reconciliation of media plans

Oversee real‑time campaign management, optimization, and cross‑channel reporting (digital and traditional)

Provide ongoing performance reporting, insights, and measurement across marketing channels

Maintain key performance metrics while ensuring accuracy in reporting and recommendations

Maximize campaign budgets through efficient vendor negotiations and strong stewardship

Train and onboard new account coordinators on media platforms

Mentor junior team members in applying best practices and identifying process improvements

Support the implementation and adoption of media management tools and software

Collaborate with internal teams (Data Science, Business Development, Media Operations) to ensure seamless campaign delivery

Gain and apply fluency in traditional media planning and buying to support fully integrated media strategies

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Who You Are Experience, Education & Certification

2–3 years in digital/traditional media or agency account management

Bachelor’s degree Marketing or related field required

Certifications such as TTD, Meta Blueprint and Google Ads is a plus

Comfortable with performance metrics, reporting, and optimization

Highly analytical with strong reporting and operational skills, specifically related to media planning and buying

Excellent problem‑solver with a solid understanding of statistics, analytics, and campaign performance

Soft Skills & Personal Qualities

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients, internal management, and team members at all levels

Strong project management skills with the ability to establish and adhere to roles, responsibilities, and actionable timelines for all deliverables

Self‑motivated, proactive, and maintains a positive "can‑do" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic startup environment

Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities; able to pivot quickly and adapt to evolving business needs

Passionate about the media and advertising industry and eager to stay on top of trends and innovations

Technical Skills

Social media ad platforms, programmatic DSPs, or other media management systems & tools

Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with major industry tools and channels, including programmatic platforms, Google Analytics, Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, Video, Connected TV, Native, 3rd party ad servers, and more

In‑depth knowledge of campaign tracking, pixel implementation, and creative trafficking

Experience with project management tools such as Asana a plus
