Federal Work Study - Library Circulation Student Assistant

Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Job Summary
This position assists the Circulation Department in Ingram Library. It provides customer service to library users during all operating hours (morning, afternoon, and evening shifts).
Responsibilities
- Checking materials in and out
- Providing information about library policies to users
- Processing items from other USG schools
- Shelving items
- Research support, data gathering, and other library related projects
Required Qualifications
- Active University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Completed coursework equivalent to Sophomore standing and a 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Availability for shifts in morning, afternoon, and evening (schedule will accommodate school schedule)
- Coverage needed for all hours that the library is open
- Basic computer skills and comfort working on a computer
- Some customer service experience expected
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous library experience
- Extensive customer service experience or training
- Schedule flexibility
