Job Summary The Communications Coordinator supports strategic enrollment initiatives by developing, executing, and optimizing communications across multiple mediums that engage prospective and current students and their families. The role collaborates across departments to ensure consistent, accurate messaging that reflects the university’s brand and enrollment goals, and serves as the primary coordinator for the direct admission program in partnership with Enrollment Communications, Undergraduate Recruitment, Admissions Processing, and local high school districts.

This is a grant‑funded position and may be extended or shortened based on funding availability.

Core Responsibilities

Create and manage multi‑channel communication plans (email, SMS, print, web, digital, etc.) to support admissions and enrollment efforts.

Write, edit, and distribute tailored content for prospective and current students and related stakeholders.

Collaborate with the creative team to produce compelling visuals and messaging.

Use student data and enrollment processes to recommend segmentation and personalization strategies.

Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements based on data insights.

Coordinate communications for the Direct Admissions program, managing timelines, deliverables, and cross‑functional coordination.

Facilitate regular check‑in meetings and act as point of contact for external partners (e.g., school district representatives).

Monitor and document program milestones, challenges, and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.

Assist in developing and deploying communications for admissions and enrollment campaigns, including social media, video, and print materials.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Five (5) years’ experience in communications and marketing.

Experience with an email marketing platform (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact).

Experience with digital communication platforms (CRM, CMS).

Experience managing cross‑functional projects and facilitating collaboration.

Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio’s infrastructure.

Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force for lifting or moving objects.

This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. It is contingent upon a successful background check; verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States by hire date.
