Marketing Manager – Lyman Products and Mark 7 Reloading
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Position Summary The Marketing Manager will lead the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for the Lyman, Mark 7, and Raytech brands. This is a hands‑on, creative leadership role responsible for graphic design, social media, PR, advertising, and websites. You’ll oversee marketing campaigns from concept to delivery—developing packaging, catalogs, and promotional materials; driving online and print advertising; maintaining web content; and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms. This position is ideal for a highly organized, creative professional who enjoys blending design skills with strategic marketing to engage customers in the shooting sports market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute annual marketing plans and campaign calendars for Lyman Products and Mark 7 Reloading
Manage advertising budgets, schedules, and placements across print, digital, email, and social channels
Align marketing efforts with product launches, sales objectives, and brand initiatives
Graphic Design & Brand Creative
Lead the design and production of packaging (boxes, cards, labels, POP materials) for new and existing products
Design print and digital advertising, email campaigns, catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, trade show exhibits, t‑shirts, and promotional materials
Maintain brand standards across all collateral
Social Media & Digital Communications Plan, create, and schedule social media posts and e‑blasts to drive awareness, engagement, and sales
Manage internal teams to generate compelling photo/video content for social and digital channels
Monitor trends and audience feedback to refine content strategy
Public Relations & Editorial
Draft and distribute press releases for new product launches and brand initiatives
Cultivate relationships with writers, editors, and industry publications to secure media coverage
Coordinate the distribution of editorial assets (photos, copy, product samples)
Website & Digital Experience
Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance of the Lyman and Mark 7 websites, including product updates, images, and copy, including Amazon product pages
Partner with external developers/web designer for technical or design enhancements
Recommend site improvements to improve usability, design, and conversion
Video & Multimedia
Plan and oversee the production of promotional, instructional, and product launch images and videos
Collaborate with internal team and external partners to deliver high‑quality content
Supervise and mentor the photographer/videographer and web designer
Coordinate workflow, review creative work, and ensure deadlines are met
Work cross‑functionally with sales, product development, engineering, and operations teams
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field
Experience: 5–7 years of combined marketing and graphic design experience, preferably in manufacturing, outdoor, or consumer goods industries
Strong portfolio of packaging, print, and digital design workProven ability to manage marketing campaigns and budgets
Experience managing websites (Magento experience a plus)
Working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing tools, and PR strategies
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, from leadership to production staff
Interest in the outdoor shooting sports industry strongly preferred
Technical Skills
Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (required)
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Magento, or WordPress
Knowledge of social media scheduling tools and email marketing platforms (MailChimp)
