Overview
Product Marketing Manager - Payments at Plaid. This role focuses on the go-to-market strategy for Plaid’s payments solutions, defining cohesive product positioning and narratives to accelerate growth and adoption in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
Craft clear, compelling positioning and messaging highlighting the unique value of Plaid’s solutions. Partner with the Product team to understand features and translate technical concepts into customer-facing content. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Design, and Communications to create and distribute collateral (presentations, case studies, one-pagers, blog posts, webinars, website updates, etc.). Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research to inform positioning and identify opportunities. Work with Marketing to build integrated campaigns targeting key customer segments to accelerate product adoption and expansion. Qualifications
6+ years of experience with 3+ years in product marketing, sales, account management, growth, or other strategic GTM role at a B2B software company. Outstanding written communication skills for marketing and sales collateral and internal storytelling. Strong presence and verbal communication; comfortable engaging with leaders at large fintechs and financial institutions in the U.S. Strategic thinker with bias for action; thrives in fast-moving environments with ambiguity. Proven success in launching new solutions and driving market adoption. Desire to collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams. Fintech payments experience is a strong nice-to-have. Compensation and Location
Salary range (base): $147,600/year to $219,600/year depending on location and other factors. Additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commissions may apply. Zone-based pay varies by geographic location as described below. Geographic Zones
Zone 1 — New York City and San Francisco Bay Area Zone 2 — Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, D.C. Zone 3 — Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego Zone 4 — Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities Plaid provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
