Responsible for design assistance of simple to moderately complex electro/mechanical components and assemblies, including creation of engineering drawings and documentation. Design assistance responsibilities may entail manufacturing fixtures, production tooling and test equipment; and may also include simple to complex RF and digital circuit layouts and documentation. Sound independent judgement and decision making. Relies on verbal and written instructions and pre-established guidelines, as well as experience and judgement to perform the required work. Works independently with little oversight from engineering or supervisor. Design of simple to complex mechanical components and assemblies. Design of simple to complex PWBs and electrical layouts. Create and maintain electro/mechanical 2D and/or 3D part and assembly drawings. Prepare detail drawings and artworks for internal and external printed circuit board and/or printed substrate fabrication. Build and maintain the drawing product structure (Bill of Materials). Maintain the electronic file management of the part drawing. Implement Release/Change Notice (RCN). Complete tasks on schedule; maintain organized records; work systematically and efficiently; and be detail oriented. Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Interpret requirements from the program team to facilitate the design's functionality from customer and internal specifications with professional collaboration, integrity, and respect. Aid in the development of personnel by providing coaching, guidance and training as assigned or required. Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Provide support to engineers, designers and assist detailers as required. Design and select components and define critical electro/mechanical features for new products. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High level of proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD packages required (Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Solidworks preferred) and/or working knowledge with ECAD packages (CAM350, PADS, Altium, Xpedition). Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment including machining technology, measurement tools (micrometers and calipers), and PCB/Printed Substrate Fabrication. Experience in drafting standards and industry procedures in a 2D & 3D CAD environment, including ASME Y14.100, Y14.5M-2009, Y14.35M, IPC-2615, ICP-6018A, IPC-2221A, and IPC-2222. Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes and equipment. Ability to perform tolerance studies on moderately complex assemblies. High level proficiency in PC skills (Microsoft Office and other iSeries/AS400, LAN programs). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; works effectively in a team environment by communicating positively and sharing ideas with one another. Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner; often involves a Supervisor, Program Manager or Engineer. Actively pursues opportunities to expand job-related knowledge. Effectively conveys pertinent information in a constructive manner verbally and/or written format. Self-driven, highly motivated and efficient. Works independently to coordinate and support drawing support activities. May direct or lead others. Must be eligible to work on defense and satellite programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card). Education and Experience

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience. Associate Degree or Equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Technology required. #LI-VT1 Compensation and Benefits

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered. Compensation ranges vary based on factors including skill sets, experience, certifications and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $74,213 - $123,688.
