Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Drafter/Designer/CADD Operator in Mercury, Nevada
Job details:
This position is a hybrid position, with potential to report to Mercury. This position is to provide support to the Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power comprised of transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV. Electrical design, power transmission and distribution experience, with substations or the drawing design/construction of distribution lines. High voltage drafting experience, 4860V and up. Support to include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches. Additional support will include locating, updating, and developing new drawings or updating existing drawings to address a backlog in configuration management needs.
Responsibilities
Prepare high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power up to 138 kV (transmission, substation, distribution).
Produce routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams with all views and dimensions necessary for construction.
Support engineers and designers through proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches.
Locate, update, and develop new drawings or update existing drawings to address backlog in configuration management.
Education and Experience
CADD IV
- 10 years experience; High School & Tech Training
Education/Experience Substitutions:
Education – An Associate’s degree will substitute for 1-year experience and a Bachelor’s degree will substitute for 3-years’ experience.
Graphic Designer III
- 10 years experience; Bachelor’s degree; Training Certification 1,2
Graphic Designer IV
- 12 years experience; Bachelor’s degree; Training Certification 1,2
Education/Experience Substitutions
Education – An advanced degree will substitute for 3 years of experience.
Vendor certification - Software certifications from established industry vendors (i.e., Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite for Windows, etc.) will substitute for 3 years’ experience.
