Job Summary The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is pleased to invite applications for a full‑time Lecturer and Supply Chain Program Director with a preferred start date of January 1, 2026 (August 1, 2026 is also possible). The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9‑month, non‑tenure‑eligible faculty position for an initial two‑year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.
The typical teaching load for a Lecturer is 8 courses per year. Teaching responsibilities may include both undergraduate and graduate courses, and occasionally broader business courses depending on departmental needs. While this position has a significant portion of its time focused on teaching, it also has important administrative responsibilities, as well as service responsibilities. The anticipated initial Distribution of Effort will be 50% teaching, 40% administration, and 10% service.
Our department offers an outstanding research environment including a behavioral research laboratory, student subject pool, research and travel budget, and a high level of faculty collaboration.
Responsibilities
Teach up to 8 courses per year, including undergraduate, graduate, and business courses.
Serve as Supply Chain Program Director, overseeing program activities and student advising.
Participate in departmental administration and service activities.
Maintain an excellent record in the classroom and contribute to the department’s teaching mission.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in supply chain management, marketing, or a related field, or expected to earn one by the start date.
Excellent record in classroom teaching.
Demonstrated scholarship and research potential in supply chain or marketing.
Experience managing or collaborating on curriculum development desirable.
