The SVP of Business Affairs at Disney Branded Television is seeking a forward-thinking, motivated Executive Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive, resourceful, and flexible demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. They will successfully manage this role by applying critical thinking skills and developing strong partnerships throughout the organization.
As an Executive Assistant, the candidate plays a key role on the support team. Responsibilities will include calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel & expense reports, gathering and synthesizing information, and other administrative support as needed. The role will require strong communication skills, close attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority requests to meet tight deadlines. It will also require a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Seeking poised self-starters who have a strong understanding of the television programming process, can proactively anticipate needs, demonstrate follow‑through, and will be a collaborative team player.
Responsibilities
Schedule meetings across multiple time zones, departments, and brands while respecting the need for flexibility and adaptability in an ever‑changing environment
Represent the office of the Head of Business Affairs by effectively communicating with teams at all levels across the studios
Oversee travel arrangements, track expense reports, and perform various other administrative tasks
Provide meeting preparation materials – compile grids, research industry leaders, and curate relevant information across multiple brands
Answer phones and log calls – generate a comprehensive understanding of the industry, agency, and talent representative landscape
Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all who interact with the office and team; manage flow of information and files in/out of office
Serve as the liaison to external industry counterparts and effectively interact with leadership and talent representatives
Update department documents and content‑tracking portals
Draft, review, and redline contracts and other legal documents as needed
Basic Qualifications
2+ years prior work experience at a law firm, talent agency, production company, studio or network with a solid grasp of the entertainment business
Ability to multitask and prioritize, independently managing and disseminating a variety of assignments punctually and efficiently
Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and commitment to follow‑through
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of leadership and the ability to effectively liaise with productions, agencies, other studios, etc.
Collaborative working style and strong people skills, partnering with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Maintains a positive, professional demeanor under pressure
Ability to anticipate the executive’s needs and effectively handle frequently changing priorities
Highly skilled in meeting deadlines, prioritizing work, and driving quality results
Maintain flexibility and adaptability, changing course of action quickly when necessary
Approaches work with a strong sense of purpose, competence, authority and compassion
Resourceful and critical approach to understanding and resolving issues
Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, and SAP Concur
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Exposure to deal‑making processes and contract management is a strong plus
Knowledge and passion for entertainment and media
Desire to contribute creatively by covering and offering thoughts on materials including scripts, cuts, outlines and submissions
Required Education
Four‑year bachelor’s degree or other film/television‑related undergraduate degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $59,600 to $79,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
