The Opportunity The Senior Industrial Designer will execute best-in-class industrial design solutions, working on transformative projects that merge functionality, sustainability, craft and beauty. This designer will be the core hands-on design talent, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in engineering, brand, architecture, R&D, and marketing.

As a key contributor and founding member of Chobani La Colombe’s industrial design team, you will focus on the conceptualization, development, and realization of all consumer-facing physical touchpoints across our brands: structural packaging, equipment, and retail experiences.

This is an opportunity to deliver design excellence at speed, disrupting the status quo through exceptional execution and craftsmanship. The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and shape memorable experiences for our brands through user-centered, sustainable design. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and hands-on design expertise to bring innovative solutions to life.

This role will be onsite in our SoHo office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) with the option to WFH on Fridays.

Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy

Develop an industrial design vision aligned with our company's mission, values, and sustainability goals

Collaborate with design leadership and cross-functional teams on product roadmaps and design strategies

Promote industrial design as a strategic asset within the organization

Guide junior designers and contribute to our culture of design excellence

Design Innovation

Create innovative solutions for structural packaging, products, equipment, retail environments, and hospitality

Research trends, technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to inform design

Apply consumer insights, market trends, and competitive understanding to guide decisions

Balance creativity with practicality to enhance customer experience while meeting business goals

Collaboration and Execution

Partner with Design, Experience, Innovation, Engineering, Brand, Architecture, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams

Maintain design integrity throughout the product development lifecycle

Ensure concepts are feasible and Design-For-Manufacture ready

Incorporate prototyping, user testing, and iteration as key parts of the process to refine solutions

Operational Excellence

Manage projects within budgets, resources, and timelines

Create and improve tools, processes, and workflows for team productivity

Apply sustainable design principles to minimize environmental impact

Contribute to potential IP development

Qualifications

BFA/BID in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field

5-10 years’ experience with a portfolio of successful product and packaging designs

Experience in CPG, food and beverage, consumer product, architecture & interiors, or related industries

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Onshape, Rhino, Solidworks, or similar)

Proficiency in visualization and rendering software (Keyshot, Blender, Enscape, or similar)

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Model making and rapid prototyping capabilities

Understanding of manufacturing and user-centered design principles

Strong communication skills to explain design concepts to various stakeholders

Project management and cross-functional communication

Adaptability in fast-paced environments with changing priorities

Interest in design's role in creating meaningful experiences

Compensation Range: $96,000.00 - $143,000.00, plus bonus.
