Responsibilities
Translate design concepts into detailed technical design packages in Onbrand PLM, including specifications, construction details, callouts, BOM's, Sketches.
Review fit samples and maintain organized records of comments and approvals.
Organize and lead live model fit sessions; identify fit issues and suggest corrections in collaboration with Designer. Document changes and keep detailed notes/records.
Communicate fit and construction revisions through updated patterns, sketches, photos, or re-draped samples.
Ensure all fit session notes and updates are accurately entered into PLM in a timely manner.
Provide input on garment construction and its impact on fit, comfort, and durability.
Apply knowledge of industry standards to ensure compliance in product development.
Collaborate with design, product development, and sourcing partners to resolve technical issues and meet deadlines.
Work with overseas supplier specialists to resolve issues.
Track Proto & PP Samples, and communicate delays with the necessary teams.
Advise on cost engineering tactics in terms of construction methods.
Assist with fabric/trim sourcing as needed.
Advise on production TNA's and Calendar in order to maintain delivery dates and approval deadlines.
Review competitive landscape on fit and grading.
Assist in creating and updating packaging and labeling artwork files.
Advise on quality control issues and suggest solutions on materials and dying.
Qualifications
5-15 years of related technical design experience.
Prior technical design experience in Men's is necessary; prior experience in women's is a plus.
Strong measuring skills and basic knowledge of grading principles.
Understanding of fit, pattern corrections, and garment construction.
Familiarity with applicable industry safety standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and overseas partners.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
A detail‑oriented approach with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to team goals.
Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a positive approach to change.
