Mechanical Designer (1-Year Contract) Ogden, UT — 100% Onsite $55–$60/hour + Per Diem (for those living 50+ miles from Ogden) Full-Time | 1-Year Contract U.S. Citizenship Required About the Role We’re hiring a Mechanical Designer to support a major defense infrastructure project in Ogden, Utah. This is a one-year contract role offering competitive pay and per diem for eligible candidates. You’ll work onsite alongside a high-performing engineering team, supporting mechanical design efforts on complex, large-scale projects. What You’ll Do Develop detailed 2D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) from sketches and marked-up drawings. Review and update drawings prepared by others to ensure compliance with drafting standards and project requirements. Maintain data integrity within component lists and databases. Work closely with engineers and other designers to meet schedule and quality goals. What We’re Looking For Experience Levels: Level 1: 1–2 years of related experience with a relevant degree, or 5–6 years of equivalent industry experience. Level 2: Bachelor’s degree + 2–5 years relevant experience, or 6–9 years equivalent experience. Skills & Requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDS2D/3D, or SmartPlant P&ID. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
