About the role
We're looking for a Technical Content Marketer to own Foxglove's content strategy - shaping how the world learns about our products; how our community grows; to help design, build, and scale the tools that power the next generation of robotics development.
In this role, you'll write, film, and produce content that bridges storytelling and technical depth: tutorials, blog posts, explainers, interviews, and event recaps. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and developer advocates to surface stories from within Foxglove and the broader robotics community - then package those stories into content that educates and inspires.

Location
Foxglove is a remote-friendly company, with employees spread across many locations. We maintain Pacific Time hours and hire within ±4 hours of U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Create world-class technical content - blogs, tutorials, videos, newsletters, and explainers that teach developers how to build with Foxglove and advance robotics development.
- Build engaging demos and examples help enable engineers to move quickly from learning to doing.
- Develop Foxglove's editorial voice and narrative, ensuring every piece of content reinforces our mission, values, and leadership in the Physical AI ecosystem.
- Produce and experiment across formats - short-form videos, event coverage, podcasts, and interviews with robotics teams - blending creativity with technical accuracy.
- Curate, publish, and amplify content across channels including X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, HN, and robotics/ML forums, tailoring tone and format to each platform.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Demand Generation, Product, and Engineering to surface meaningful topics, product updates, research insights, and customer stories worth telling.
- Manage an editorial calendar that balances education, thought leadership, and community storytelling while aligning with launches and growth initiatives.
- Leverage analytics and SEO and AEO data to measure reach, engagement, and conversion - continuously iterating on strategy to drive adoption and awareness.
- Stay on the cutting edge of Physical AI - implementing and highlighting relevant papers, projects, and research to showcase innovation and keep Foxglove at the forefront of the field.
- Bring personality and polish to every piece of content, ensuring that what we publish is not only accurate but also inspiring, shareable, and distinctly Foxglove.
- Storyteller at heart: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, engaging, and polished narratives that inspire action.
- Technical fluency: 5+ years in Developer Relations, developer marketing, or technical content roles - with deep knowledge of robotics, AI, and developer tools. Comfortable with C++, Rust and Python to build small examples, demos, and tutorials.
- Robotics curiosity and credibility: You understand how robotics systems work, and can identify where Foxglove's tools fit within real-world workflows.
- Natural content producer: You already create and share - whether through blogs, tutorials, YouTube videos, newsletters, or social posts - and have a portfolio or following that shows you can connect with technical audiences authentically.
- Editorial discipline: Strong writing and editing instincts, with the ability to maintain a consistent voice, high quality bar, and focus on high-impact topics.
- Creative experimenter: Comfortable testing new formats, channels, and tones - from short-form videos and podcasts to explainers.
- Analytical thinker: Uses data to guide decisions - tracking SEO, AEO, engagement, and conversion metrics to refine what works.
- Empathetic communicator: Understands how engineers think and communicates in their language - patient, clear, and genuinely helpful.
- Bias for action: You publish often, iterate quickly, and learn fast - valuing momentum, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Open-source and community experience: Familiarity with open-source ecosystems, ROS, and robotics simulation workflows.
- Multimedia fluency: Experience with video production, podcasting, or live streaming adds extra depth to your storytelling toolkit.
