On-Call Circulation Substitute, Seekonk Public Library (Seekonk)

Do you love books, helping people, and being part of a welcoming community space? Seekonk Public Library is looking for friendly, reliable individuals to join our team as On-Call Circulation Substitutes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist library visitors with a smile
• Check materials and museum passes in and out using our library system
• Issue library cards and help patrons with basic account questions
• Shelve materials and keep collections tidy and organized
• Provide great customer service in a team-oriented environment

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and comfort using computers
• Dependability and flexibility to fill in as needed for staff absences
• Enthusiasm for libraries and serving the public
• Preference given to applicants with experience using the Sirsi Dynix Workflows Integrated Library System (ILS)

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. This position is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
