Sr. Marketing Manager - Tech
People Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Tech vertical. You will manage daily proposal work, partnering with sales and support teams, and play an integral role in the success of our business. As the quarterback to our pitch process, you understand advertisers’ business goals, digest and apply audience insights to business problems, and know the most effective People Inc. product solutions to help achieve those goals. You will support the development process for People Inc. brands, and play a proactive role in monetizing our brands’ key initiatives with advertising partners. This position reports into the Marketing Director for the Tech vertical.
Work Location Hybrid: New York, NY – 3 days in office per week with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
Develop strong relationships with Sales, Account Strategy, Research, and Production teams; become the expert on brand-driven opportunities that support their business.
Partner with Sales, Research, Account Strategy & Design to ensure proposals are delivered on time and clearly communicate our value proposition, and provide support on sales calls.
Bring ideas to life through well‑written and visually appealing proposals and pitch decks that represent our brands, capabilities, and ideas flawlessly.
Use audience insights and past campaign performance to inform partnership strategies and recommendations in partnership with sales.
Work closely with Digital Production to ensure alignment from ideation through execution; understand ad product offerings, executional nuances, and production cost implications.
Create marketing materials that communicate our brands’ unique value proposition to advertising clients across all verticals.
Lead internal conversations with Dotdash Meredith editorial teams to develop, package, and communicate high‑value opportunities to the Dotdash Meredith sales team.
Support the Beauty & Style team in crafting new tentpoles, franchises, and cross‑portfolio opportunities grounded in the DNA of our brands.
Contribute to the rollout of new brand‑driven materials to Sales and Marketing teams across Dotdash Meredith.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
4–5 years relevant experience at a digital publisher, with a focus on pre‑sales marketing; background in Brand Marketing a plus.
Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills, poised under pressure, and able to tailor messages for different audiences.
Understanding of the publishing landscape, brands, products, media strategy, and trends.
Self‑starter who provides proactive ideas, understands organizational goals, and moves initiatives forward.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Travel Approximate % of travel required.

Compensation and Benefits Salary: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year (New York). Salary may vary based on experience, location, and performance. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
