Introduction

The project you will be working with is an environmental and media company that focus on bringing attention to environmental issues specific to Africa, always looking for unique and authentic perspectives in their work. They work with many different clients, ranging from broadcasters, corporations, non‑governmental organizations, print media and online news outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high quality underwater photographs and video footage of coral reefs, marine wildlife and local village life.
  • Participate in practical underwater photographic expeditions and free diving training.
  • Learn and apply specialised breathing techniques and under‑water lighting effects.
  • Assist in post‑processing of images and editing of footage using Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere.
  • Work with the team to create engaging environmental media content.

Qualifications

  • Interest and basic knowledge of scuba diving and underwater photography.
  • Experience with DSLR or equivalent cameras, video cameras or GoPros.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop technical and creative skills in marine media.
  • Can work independently and as part of a small team in a field environment.

Training Syllabus Highlights
