Join Global Nomadic as a volunteer photographer in Mossel Bay, South Africa. The programme is four weeks long, with start dates available each month. The total cost is $3,900 USD per month, covering food, accommodation, pre‑departure and in‑country support, orientation and all project activities. Flights, travel insurance, personal spending, visas and vaccinations are not included.

Schedule
Our wildlife filming course runs over one month. The first and last weeks are spent at Mossel Bay conducting pre‑production and post‑production work. The remaining weeks involve living on a reserve and filming your wildlife documentary.

Narrative writing workshop and assessment
Guided edits and personalised learning system creation
Intro to ethics, standards and practices
Expedition to the archaeologically significant Point area of Mossel Bay – the origins of humankind
Week 2
Tutorial: Rewriting and Editing
Guided and self‑guided edits of previous submissions
Tutorial: Interviewing techniques
Research conduct research on two individuals and prep for mock interview
Practical Writing and submission of Interview 1 + 2
Week 3
Tutorial: Travel Writing
Research conduct research on specific upcoming expeditions
Expeditions – a series of travel writing and blogging activities
Practical Writing, submission and editing of articles 1 7
Week 4
Tutorial: Environmental Journalism
Research and prep for final piece
Self‑led interviews and source finding
Practical Writing, submission and editing of EVJ piece
