SEO Specialist at Cella

Compensation Range: $90,000 - 110,000 per year
We are a rapidly growing, growth-stage professional service company focused on connecting independent licensed professionals with the resources they need to practice. We operate in a highly competitive sector, supporting both individual practitioners (B2C) and large organizations (B2B). This is a critical role for an SEO Specialist to drive high-quality organic traffic and conversions by owning and executing all SEO strategies in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. We are focused on building out a strong, on‑site team in the Arlington, VA area.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution and optimization of all Search Engine Optimization strategies (on-page, off-page, and technical) to drive high-quality organic traffic and increase conversion rates for our primary retail (B2C) lead generation channels.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify new opportunities, optimize existing content, and inform the overall content strategy targeting independent licensed professionals and related professional search queries.
- Collaborate closely with the Full Stack Growth Developer to implement technical SEO improvements, including site structure, core web vitals, mobile optimization, and schema markup on our primary web platform.
- Work with the CRO/Analytics Specialist to use SEO insights for A/B testing hypotheses, analyze performance data (from Google Analytics, etc.), and identify friction points in the lead capture funnel.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on organic search performance using various SEO tools, providing actionable insights and making recommendations for continuous improvement to senior leadership.
- Serve as the cross-functional SEO expert, ensuring all marketing efforts, including content and website development, are aligned with SEO best practices to maximize organic visibility and achieve lead generation goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist in a fast-paced, lead-generation focused startup or growth-stage business, preferably with B2C or retail experience.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully driving measurable organic growth (traffic and qualified leads) in a competitive environment.
- Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and off-page strategies, including hands‑on experience with popular content management systems (like WordPress) and relevant SEO tools.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other platforms to track, measure, and report on SEO performance and lead funnels.
- Exceptional cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with development, content, and analytics teams.
- A proactive, self‑starter mentality with strong project management skills; capable of managing multiple projects and thriving in a role with a high degree of autonomy and minimal direct supervision.
- Must be willing and able to work onsite at our office location. Friday's remote!
