Seasonal Event Technician, Audio Visual - Rosen Shingle Creek
Position Overview
A seasonal Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
Seasonal Full‑Time Position
This seasonal position will have a start date of September 2025 and end date of May 2026. Seasonal full‑time positions offer benefits, overtime, training, and promotional opportunities. At the end of season May 2026, you may be invited to reapply based on business levels and performance.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation – Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Customer Service – Strives to exceed expectations, maintains positive relationships, meets with guests, monitors events, and fosters hotel/client relationships.
- Technical Ability – Demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve with equipment and software issues.
- Systems Knowledge – Follows procedures, completes systems entry, uses equipment sheets, interacts with vendors, upsells, finalizes invoices, completes order entries.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- 1 year of audio‑visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
- Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment
Hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. Work includes irregular hours, on‑call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements

- Frequently – Color Vision, Depth Perception, Lifting 16‑50 lbs., Carrying 16‑50 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 16‑50 lbs. & 51‑100 lbs.
- Continuously – Close Vision, Distance Vision, Hearing, Lifting 0‑15 lbs., Carrying 0‑15 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 0‑15 lbs.
- Time Allocation – 0‑1 hrs/day: Climbing; 2‑3 hrs/day: Sitting, Stooping, Crawling, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching; 4‑5 hrs/day: Standing, Walking, Grasping.
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $15.10 – $18.48. Compensation is based on location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. Eligible for overtime, bonuses or incentives.
