In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping our overnight newscasts — from crafting story flow and writing engaging teases to timing live broadcasts and coordinating with the entire news team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who thrives under deadline pressure, brings strong organizational skills, and has a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities Produces newscasts for broadcast across all platforms Writes and orders news stories Approves scripts Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts Edits video Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites Performs other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills Journalism degree, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Fluency in English Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Minimum two years’ experience in news operations Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Must be flexible to work the overnight shift, weekends, and holidays as needed If you’re passionate about producing compelling newscasts and want to grow with an experienced, innovative team — we’d love to hear from you!
