In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping our overnight newscasts — from crafting story flow and writing engaging teases to timing live broadcasts and coordinating with the entire news team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who thrives under deadline pressure, brings strong organizational skills, and has a keen eye for detail.* Produces newscasts for broadcast across all platforms* Writes and orders news stories* Approves scripts* Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts* Edits video* Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms* Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites* Performs other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:* Journalism degree, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience* Fluency in English* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written* Minimum two years’ experience in news operations* Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously* Must be flexible to work the overnight shift, weekends, and holidays as needed If you’re passionate about producing compelling newscasts and want to grow with an experienced, innovative team — we’d love to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
