Base pay range: $45,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Reports To: Communications Director (Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk)
General Summary Coordinate technology needs and manage digital assets, personnel database, communications contact lists, Province portal, and additional communications and technology initiatives for the Marianist Province of the US, for both internal and external audiences. Maintain and manage the Province Access database, communications photo database, WordPress portal, Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint, and Dropbox files. Maintain and produce Province Personnel.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with the communications director and team on all needs of the Marianist Province of the US.
Maintains and manages the Province Access database. Maintain functionality, content updates, and data extraction.
Comfortable with desktop publishing for paper and electronic delivery of projects, including the annual personnel book.
Works closely with the communications director to maintain, audit, and upload content for the web and web-based portal. Includes annual audit of content.
Serves as SharePoint administrator for the Office of Communications and the provincial. Assists in managing access to and organizing digital files on the local server as well as the Province’s Dropbox, Slack, and digital asset database.
Aids in resolving the technology needs and IT support inquiries of the Province.
Provides internal and external Province staff with limited assistance, web‑based applications, software (e.g., Microsoft Constant Contact, Zoom, Dropbox, Survey Monkey), and other online resources.
Assists in gathering, publishing, and archiving information for publications, including obituaries, ads, resources, and surveys.
Maintains Province contact list in Constant Contact and Microsoft Outlook.
Maintains the photo database for the communications team. This includes uploading, organizing, tagging, and cataloging existing photos in the communications library so that they are searchable and identifiable. Also manages access to the photo database and photo credit rights.
Coordinates the distribution of content and publications with newspapers, ministries, vendors, and constituents.
Project management of printing needs, including bids, awards, proofing, and delivery.
Manages magazine archives, both print and electronic. Facilitate the distribution of copies of featured stories.
Assists the Office of Religious Life with arranging photographers for Province events and PowerPoint presentations.
Monitors Province general email accounts.
Manages the cybersecurity training platform for the local office with the assistance of the Director of Communications.
Performing other office duties, including ordering Province (Communications and IT) supplies and equipment, responding to general web or phone inquiries, updating the Marianist Province Calendar, assisting with the Province Slack channel, and providing Province members and staff with assistance related to communications or technology needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, IT management, or related field
Experience with Access database content management and editing
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) and ability to learn additional software applications as needed
Preferred experience with web editing clients (WordPress and Constant Contact)
Preferred experience in Zoom scheduling, Survey Monkey, Dropbox, and other web‑based tools
Preferred experience with Adobe products, including Photoshop.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to collaborate with other Marianist members and staff in the development and delivery of content
Ability to hold in confidence any information acquired
Possess an understanding and appreciation of the Roman Catholic Church
Ability to learn, articulate, and communicate the Marianist Charism
Location & Hours This position is located at the Province offices in St. Louis. As a public‑facing office at the service of the mission of the provincialate, you will be expected to keep regular work hours as determined by your supervisor.
Physical Demands Work is generally in an indoor setting. Must be able to handle, lift objects and or materials of up to 25 pounds. Must be able to use a telephone (hear and speak) and use a computer. Must be able to travel by car or air.
