Remote Role – 3-month contract with potential extension We currently have a very exciting opportunity available with our client for an Instructional Designer in Austin, TX. This is a remote role that will be based in Washington. It will start off as a 3 -month contract with the potential to extend and/or convert.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals.
Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.
Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.
Design and develop skills-based learning programs that align with the organization s goals and objectives.
Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Evaluate the effectiveness solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
Ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall learning strategy and business objectives.
Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions.
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
4+ years of experience in instructional design, training strategy, and program management
Experience conducting performance needs assessments and developing learning strategy aligned to business goals
Demonstrated expertise in eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), multimedia production, and LMS administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and project tracking tools (e.g., Asana)
Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end instructional design across various modalities, including Articulate Storyline examples.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Xyleme (LCMS), Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Visio, etc.), Articulate 360, Microsoft SharePoint etc. with prior experience in using or launching Learning Management Systems is a plus.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and making data-driven improvements.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $ 28 .00 to $ 30.70 per hour . Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range is subject to change.
