What You Will Do:
As an Audio-Visual Field Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering expert AV solutions by providing technical support, project execution, and customer training. You'll ensure smooth installations, troubleshoot system issues, and provide the best AV experiences for clients. Your expertise will drive successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in our technology offerings.
Prepare and install AV systems, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
Commission systems by verifying functionality across all components, including microphones, speakers, displays, control systems, and network connections.
Perform functionality testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues such as signal interference, improper configurations, or equipment malfunctions.
Configure and fine‑tune audio, video, and control settings (e.g., DSP adjustments, video resolution, and room acoustics optimization).
Verify system performance aligns with design plans, client expectations, and industry standards.
Document configurations, finalize setup activities, and provide end‑user training on system operation.
Work with Design Engineers to develop system drawings and documentation.
Manage vendor relationships, addressing product updates and technical issues.
Assist in training internal staff on new products and technologies.
Maintain professionalism, adhere to safety protocols, and stay updated on industry advancements.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum 5 years of experience in AV installation, commissioning, and training
Proficient with Crestron, Biamp, Extron, and QSC systems
Skilled in AV industry software platforms and networking
Experience with audio tuning, equalization, and DSP programming
Proficient in structured cabling, CAD schematics, DSP configuration, and AV control systems
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
Able to train clients and lead team members effectively
Competent in computer applications and mobile job‑tracking tools
Willingness to travel regularly (local, regional, out‑of‑state)
Preferred certifications: CTS
