JOB SUMMARY
The Video Data Manager will ensure the integrity of the video data collection and retention while also handling all video requests and inquiries. In conjunction with the Project Manager, the postholder will identify and resolve any issues that could affect integrity in general including the retrieving of the video directly from the bus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish users and maintain system security
Ensure the NYCT video request policy is administered properly within stated guidelines; raise any potential problems to NYCT project director
Retain complete documentation on all requests and lost video
Request video for previous day or days' briefs that meet specified criteria
Ensure that the correct video is retrieved and stored according to policy
Report status of previously requested video
Respond to law department, depot and other authorized NYCT personnel requests for video related to a specific incident with a brief number within three business days
Requests that cannot be connected to a brief number, have a 5-day turnaround; they require significantly more research
Ensure requestor has been authorized by the project manager and completes appropriate request forms
Video segments that are a match to a request will be copied to a CD along with the viewing software and sent to requestor
If the requested video cannot be retrieved, notify requestor and retain documentation on lost video
If request cannot be retrieved through the server, make arrangements to have technician retrieve video or caddy from the bus
On all video requests, maintain the retention period and classifications codes
Respond to requests by Law Dept to explain the BCSS system and the video retrieval process
As video requests grow and technology change, make recommendations on modifying procedures to streamline video distribution if warranted
Liaison with NYCT & Personnel as Warranted
Respond to request for audits and maintain records on system
Salary: $64,350/yr - $68,000/yr
Shift: Overnight - 10:00 pm to 6:00 am - Open availability is required
Driver's License & a vehicle are required.

Requirements
Knowledge of commonly used data management and record keeping
General computer knowledge including MS Office
Work as part of a team in stressful situations; maintain composure and sense of humor in the face of heavy workload and constant interruptions
Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
Proper time allocation and prioritization of support issues to allow timely response and solutions
Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously, but also able to recognize when you are in over your head
Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges
Able to show respect to other cultures and work in a culturally diverse environment
Able to work weekends when needed - Open availability
Drivers License is required
