Field Service Video Retrieval Technician
We are hiring for a new opportunity for a technology company with a public safety mission. Through relentless innovation and discovery, they are strengthening trust, safety and transparency across the student transportation space and making the trip to and from school safer for students. We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Video Retrieval Technician focused on video retrieval operations. This role is critical in supporting our client’s mission to enhance student safety by ensuring timely access to video footage requested by Partners, Operators, Police Departments, or other authorized parties. The technician will drive to designated buses within a 50‑mile radius of their home location to retrieve and upload video files using our client's systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Drive to assigned bus locations within the local region to access and retrieve requested video footage.
- Upload video files to the appropriate platform or share with designated stakeholders (Partner, Operator, PD, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of video retrievals, including timestamps, bus identifiers, and requestor details.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to confirm video delivery and resolve any issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of video systems and ensure proper connectivity for successful uploads.
- Use company‑provided software and hardware tools to manage video data securely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols while working around buses and in transit.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive video content.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical or field service role, preferably involving electronics, fleet systems, or video technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable using laptops, diagnostic software, and basic hand tools.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work in outdoor environments as needed.
Work Environment
- Must have own car and drive around to assigned bus locations.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, permanent basis.
- Pay is $16.50 - $18.00 per hour plus full benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401K and PTO.
