**A Glimpse of the Job****As part of the Teaching & Learning Innovation (TLI) team**, the specialist collaborates with the Learning Delivery and Learning Quality units to support course preparation, launch, and facilitation within Mays Flex Online programs. This role is instrumental in maintaining instructional consistency through documentation and guides, resolving LMS challenges, and delivering just-in-time faculty support. With a focus on reliable instructional delivery, proactive problem solving, and continuous improvement informed by data, the specialist enhances the learning experience for both faculty and students.**The Learning and Instructional Design Support Specialist I** **at Mays Business School** plays a vital role in supporting the delivery and facilitation of high-quality hybrid and online courses. Working under general supervision, this position assists faculty in effectively using the Learning Management System (LMS) and integrated instructional technologies by providing technical support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless course experiences.* Provides LMS and learning technology support during course delivery, including gradebook setup, group management, and troubleshooting third-party integrations.* Conducts just-in-time and scheduled training sessions for faculty during the Design Workshop and throughout the course term.* Facilitates post-course improvement discussions with faculty and coordinates identified updates with Learning Design and Project Management teams.* Collects and summarizes student experience and course feedback data for faculty and program directors to inform future improvements.* Maintains current knowledge of LMS features, instructional technology trends, and higher education best practices.* Explores and shares innovative approaches to enhance teaching, learning, and information sharing within the team and across programs.**Cover Letter/Resume:**A cover letter and resume will assist us in our review of your application materials. These can be uploaded on the application under CV/Resume. **Other Requirements and Factors:** Evening or weekend work may be required.* Bachelor's degree in relevant field.* No prior experience required.* Two years of experience working in an LMS interfacing with/supporting faculty in an education environment.* Experience in higher education.* Experience using Team Dynamix or other ticketing system.* Member of Texas Digital Learning Association (TXDLA).* Experience with online learning environments.* Experience training staff, working with faculty or stakeholders.* Extensive experience navigating and troubleshooting Canvas LMS.* Experience supporting faculty in their use of software that enhances teaching and learning in a digital learning environment.* Experience with project management software.* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.* Ability to effectively plan and execute projects that make efficient use of time and resources to meet deadlines.* Knowledge of educational technologies and other software that enhance teaching and learning in a digital learning environment, such as Zoom, third-party integrated technologies, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, etc.* Knowledge of at least one learning management system.* Canvas and Technical experience.* Troubleshooting experience.* Strong attention to detail.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Collaboration with teammates, staff, managers, and faculty.* Ability to multi-task and work independently or cooperatively with others.**Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School** is a vibrant learning organization of more than 175 faculty members, 125 staff members, and 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, marketing, and supply chain management.
