Impact of this Role As a Senior Specialist you will create engaging and educational content tailored for U.S. and Canada architects, construction contractors, and product installers. You will design and activate webinars, digital courses, live presentation resources, print and digital assets, and experiential event displays that highlight industry trends, product solutions, and best‑practice applications. Additionally, you will manage two marketing strategies, including the customer education pillar and architect persona marketing program.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement the annual program to activate customer‑education tactics.
Enhance the digital library with webinars, on‑demand courses, and live‑presentation PowerPoints for priority topics and target audiences.
Create product‑application videos using project‑management, writing, storyboarding, and directing skills.
Design engaging and interactive tradeshow booth displays that increase awareness, consideration, and buy‑in.
Develop marketing and sales‑enablement materials for the architect persona.
Manage tailored presence on the 3M website for architects and third‑party platforms used for project planning.
Drive engagement with architects through trade shows, associations, paid media, customer education, and organic media tactics.
Apply graphic‑design skills to produce diverse digital and print assets.
Ensure all assets meet 3M brand and ADA‑compliance standards while fulfilling legal requirements for regulated product solutions.
Seek input, facilitate asset review, and design customer‑centric assets for timely, accurate deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Graphic Design, Construction Management, or Architecture (completed and verified prior to start).
Three (3) years of experience in marketing communications, including content strategy, customer education, technical writing, or graphic‑design‑based content development in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree.
Five (5) years of marketing experience, covering content strategy, customer education, technical writing, or graphic‑design content development.
Understanding of construction industry, markets, regulatory/building codes, and specified construction product solutions.
Proficiency with graphic‑design tools and ADA compliance standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a global matrixed organization; proficiency with marketing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & Travel Work location: On‑site at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, at least four days a week.
Travel: Up to 10% domestic/international.
Relocation assistance: May be authorized.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for a work‑visa status.
